Romance Radar: June 2021

June is bustin' out all over! I have never--and probably will never--lose my youthful excitement for all things summer. And I can't wait to dive into the releases slated for this month! Let's do this!

One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston

Release Date: June 1

Why I'm Excited: What better way to kick off #Pride Month than with a new F/F romance brought to us by the author who gave us Red, White and Royal Blue? Easily one of the best romances of 2019, RW&RB is a pretty tough act to follow. But I think McQuiston is up to the task, adding a time slip element to One Last Stop. Read this interview with McQuiston for more info!

Wolf Forever (Arbor Falls #4) by Maya Nicole

Release Date: June 2

Why I'm Excited: I have mentioned Maya Nicole many times in previous posts as I've pretty much been following her since her first release, but it has been so much fun watching her develop and grow as an author. Wolf Forever is the conclusion to Arbor Falls, a RH wolf shifter series.

A Gorgeous Villain (St. Mary's Rebels #2) by Saffron A. Kent

Release Date: June 3

Why I'm Excited: If you want angst, Kent will serve you angst on a silver platter and leave you asking for more. In AGV, we'll encounter Callie and Reed as they meet again a couple of years after Reed has broken Callie's heart. Reading tip: books in the St. Mary's series can be read as standalones.

Tryst Six Venom by Penelope Douglas

Release Date: June 3

Why I'm Excited: I mean...it's Penelope Douglas... I'm going to read it. #favoriteauthor BUT, I'm excited because TSV is her first F/F book. No doubt Douglas will work her magic like she always does, in my humble opinion.

Club 22 (Hades #3) by Tate James

Release Date: June 11

Why I'm Excited: James has become a powerhouse in the RH world, and this series is only amplifies that. Hades is a solid contemporary crossover from her Madison Kate series, but it is not necessary to read those books before starting Hades.

Isn't It Bromantic? (Bromance Book Club #4) by Lyssa Kay Adams

Release Date: June 15

Why I'm Excited: If you're familiar with the Bromance series, you'll know why this book is considered to be highly anticipated. Adams manages to weave the sweetness and humor one might find in a rom-com with plot lines that include relevant and serious topics of today. Bromantic? follows the mysterious but endearing Russian and his quest to save his marriage.

The Monster (Boston Belles #3) by L.J. Shen

Release Date: June 15

Why I'm Excited: Whenever you're in the mood for an alphahole, Shen is your writer.

Those Not-So-Sweet Boys (Vol. 3) by Yoko Nogiri

Release Date: June 15

Why I'm Excited: This super sweet RH manga was first published in 2019, but can now be found in the English translation. Things get awkward for scholarship student Midori in Vol.1 when she befriends a close-knit group of guys from her school. But what happens when more than one of those guys starts catching feelings for her...?

The Magic of Destiny (Emerald Lakes #4) by Britt Andrews

Release Date: June 30

Why I'm Excited: The Emerald Lakes series has been one wild (and steamy!) ride! Hopefully the epic conclusion of this paranormal RH, complete with a body-positive heroine, will finally give us answers to WTF is actually going on. >:D Did I mention it was steamy?
